Notice of Adoption of Variation No. 2 (Newbridge Settlement Plan) of Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) that, at a Special Planning Meeting on Monday, 23 February 2026, Kildare County Council adopted a Variation (Variation No. 2) of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 (as varied).
The Variation will provide a Settlement Plan for Newbridge to replace the Newbridge Local Area Plan 2013 – 2019 (as amended and extended to 2021). The Settlement Plan will provide a planning policy framework for Newbridge to guide the future sustainable development of the town. The Settlement Plan aligns with the overarching plan hierarchy which has been set out at national, regional and county level. Copies of the Development Plan as varied are available for inspection as follows:
- Kildare County Council Offices, at the address below from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
