Kildare County Council Advises Farmers of Inspections in 2026
Notice in relation to farm inspections under the EPA National Agricultural Inspection Programme (NAIP) in 2026
Kildare County Council wishes to advise all farmers in County Kildare that farmyard and farmland inspections are being carried out by Kildare County Council throughout 2026, in accordance with the EPA National Agricultural Inspection Programme.
The National Agricultural Inspection Programme uses a risk-based approach to reduce agricultural pressures on water quality, particularly in areas where waterbodies are significantly impacted by agricultural activities.
Kildare County Council will contact farmers in advance of an inspection and appreciate the ongoing co-operation of the agricultural sector with this work to improve and protect water quality.
