Kildare County Council Announces Temporary Closure of Cash Office
Closed Monday 15th December 2025
9th December 2025: Kildare County Council wishes to inform members of the public that its Cash Office will be closed on Monday 15th December 2025 to facilitate essential upgrades to the payment system. The office is expected to re-open on Tuesday 16th December from 9.30am until 1.00pm.
During this brief closure telephone payments and walk-in services will be unavailable. However, payments for council services can still be made using the following convenient options: –.
- Online: Pay Housing Rents, Housing Loans and Rates via the Local Authority Payment Portal: https://kildarecoco.ie/YourCouncil/Finance/LocalAuthorityCustomerPortal/
For Motor Tax, Litter Fines, Traffic Fines and Dog Licenses, visit: https://kildarecoco.ie/AllServices/OnlineServices/OnlinePayments/
For Planning applications and submissions payments visit: https://planning.localgov.ie/en
- An Post : Weekly rent payments can be made at your local Post Office, using your Rent Card, which can be requested from the Rents Team. A Household Budget can also be set up through An Post for rent deductions.
- Bank Transfer: Please contact the relevant section for bank details.
- By Post: Cheques, bank drafts, or postal money orders (payable to ‘Kildare County Council’), can be sent to: Finance Section, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co Kildare. Please include your account reference and details of the service the payment is for.
Where possible, members of the public are encouraged to make payments by Debit or Credit Card.
