Kildare County Council Opens New Playground in Kilcock
24th October 2025: Kildare County Council is delighted to announce the opening of a brand new playground at The Bawnogues, Kilcock, located adjacent to the Kilcock Community Centre.
This modern facility is now open to the public, offering a safe and engaging environment for children to play, explore and be active.
Celina Barrett, Director of Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council commented: “I am very pleased to see this wonderful new playground open to the public. It represents a significant investment in the community of Kilcock and underscores our commitment to providing high-quality recreational amenities that enhance the health and well-being of our youngest residents and their families. We hope this facility becomes a cherished hub of activity for the Kilcock area and beyond for many years to come.”
A formal opening will be scheduled at a later date, with details to be announced. In the meantime, Kildare County Council encourages all residents and visitors to enjoy this fantastic new amenity.
