Kildare County Council, on behalf of Uisce Éireann, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it will close the following road on Wednesday, 6 May to Wednesday, 1 July 2026, the R405 Hazelhatch Road to facilitate works on behalf of Uisce Éireann.

Alternative Routes: Southbound traffic on both the R403 & the R405(Liffey Bridge), and Eastbound traffic on the L1016 (Newtown Road) will be diverted East onto the R403 (Dublin Road) and then south (right) onto the L1027 (Shinkeen Road). At the south end of the L1027 traffic will be directed left, back onto the R405 (Hazelhatch Road) where the diversion ends. Northbound traffic on the R405 (Hazelhatch Road) will be diverted east (right) onto the L1027 (Shinkeen Road). At the north end of the L1027 traffic will be diverted West (left) onto the R403 (Dublin Road) towards the Liffey Bridge where the diversion ends. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
