Kildare Local Community Safety Partnership Initiates Consultation Process for Three‑Year Community Safety Plan
The Kildare Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) has held its third meeting in MERITS, Naas. The meeting, which took the form of a facilitated workshop, marked the commencement of the consultation process for Kildare’s three‑year Local Community Safety Plan.
The workshop provided a consultation forum for Partnership members, focusing on shaping the direction of the plan and identifying key priorities.
Representatives from statutory agencies, local services and community stakeholders took part in the workshop, underscoring the Partnership’s commitment to a collaborative, multi‑agency approach to improving safety across County Kildare.
Following the workshop, Garda Superintendent Barry Mills said: “This workshop represents the start of an important consultation process to develop a three‑year Community Safety Plan for Kildare. Early engagement with our stakeholders is vital in ensuring the plan reflects local needs and concerns, is achievable in practice and delivers meaningful improvements in community safety across the county.”
The next phase of the process will involve the commencement of a procurement process for a consultancy service. The appointed consultant will facilitate broader public consultation, ensuring that the views, experiences and priorities of communities throughout Kildare form a central part of the development of the plan.
The Kildare Local Community Safety Partnership will continue to meet regularly as the consultation and plan development progress, with a focus on delivering a robust and responsive Community Safety Plan that supports safer, more resilient communities.
