Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road on Monday, 11 August 2025 to Friday, 22 August 2025 to facilitate road resurfacing as part of the Scoil Bhríde, Straffan Safe Routes to School Scheme.

Alternative routes: Eastbound Traffic from the R403 (Travelling to Straffan) Should continue travelling along the R403 to the Barberstown Roundabout. At the Barberstown Roundabout turn right onto the L-1011 Barberstown Road. Continue along the L-1011 Barberstown Road to the Junction of L-1011 Barberstown Road & L-5049 New Road. End of Detour. Northbound Traffic from the L-2007 (Travelling towards Straffan) Should continue travelling straight at the junction of L-1011 Barberstown Road & L-5049 New Road, onto the L-1011 Barberstown Road. Continue straight to the Barberstown Roundabout. At the Barberstown Roundabout, turn left onto the R403 travelling towards Clane. End of Detour. Westbound Traffic from the L-5067 Ardrass Road (Travelling towards Straffan) Should turn right at the junction of L-1011 Barberstown Road & L-5049 New Road, onto the L-1011 Barberstown Road. Continue straight to the Barberstown Roundabout. At the Barberstown Roundabout, turn left onto the R403 travelling towards Clane. End of Detour. |
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
